Apprenticeships and Work Based Learning in Leeds and across Yorkshire

We deliver Apprenticeship programmes and work-based learning to both new and existing employees across a wide variety of firms throughout Yorkshire. We have helped many of these companies to recruit apprentices through our no-cost search and selection service.

We deliver newly enhanced Diplomas in Business and Administration, Customer Service, Team Leading and Management. These more streamlined and flexible new qualifications include more specialist units with greater focus on technology and current business practice. These qualifications can be tailored to reflect both the needs of employers and those taking the qualification to make a real difference in the workplace.

We use an e-portfolio system which allows learners to see the progress they are making and to upload work at any time. We are always on hand to offer feedback, motivation and support. Employers can see the progress their people are making with their learning.

Our employer partners are actively involved in our learners’ apprenticeship programmes, whether they are for existing staff or brand new employees. We understand the demands of business and ensure our programmes fit around those demands.

We work with companies to offer learning and development programmes based around apprenticeship qualifications to create bespoke programmes of learning and development.

We complete all the bureaucracy and guide you simply through the process. We access funding to support delivery and can also access incentive funding to support companies to employ apprentices. Your investment is therefore in your people and their development.


About Apprenticeship Qualifications

Apprenticeships provide standard measures for what an employee should know about, be able to do, how well, and in what contexts and conditions. Therefore Apprenticeship qualifications can help you to measure an employee’s performance and the contribution they make to achieving goals. Apprentices can be existing employees or new employees employed with equal rights to your other staff.

The standards for each Apprenticeship have been nationally developed and agreed by industry Sector Skills Councils such as the Institute of Customer Service, Council for Administration and Chartered Management Institute.

This programme will help develop exceptional business administration skills, which can be utilised in a variety of roles and industries. The course is designed to give your employees the confidence and ability to manage many administrative tasks. The units include: Organising and supporting meetings, research and report writing and looking after business software. Successful completion of this recognised qualification will give your employee the skills to carry out a multitude of administrative tasks such as directing calls, typing letters, organising meetings and distribution of important documents. Administration skills are essential within any organisation.

This programme will provide the skills to deliver excellent Customer Service, which can be applied to a range of job roles across different sectors. This course is ideal for those dealing with customers both face to face and over the phone and those who need to improve their communication skills. With a selection of optional units to focus upon, the qualification will include developing a better understanding of customer relationships, improving customer loyalty and problem solving. This programme will enhance communication skills, using essential techniques to improve customer satisfaction. The employee will be able to handle customer complaints and queries, concentrating on retention of business and increased sales.

This programme is designed to help develop the skills and attitude needed to perform effectively as a Team Leader. It gives practising and aspiring Team Leaders a solid foundation on which to develop their leadership skills, helping them to motivate their team members and achieve targets. The units covered will include areas such as managing resources, providing leadership, setting objectives and operational planning. This will equip your employees to be able to motivate a team, develop productive working relationships, participate in meetings, support customer service improvements and allocate and check work within a team; all skills which are essential within any organisation. On completion of this Apprenticeship your employee will make a significant difference to the performance of your business and gain recognition for their team leading experience. After completing the Team Leading Apprenticeship employees with suitable experience could progress onto the Management Apprenticeship.

This programme will equip your managers with the knowledge and understanding they need to apply relevant management techniques. This qualification is highly flexible and designed to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes managers need to perform more effectively. The content of this qualification is wide and varied and will cover: managing performance, how to become an effective manager, recruit an effective workforce, plan and implement change, solve problems and managing budgets. As a result of training for the Management qualification, your employees will have the ability to ensure that their team are productive, which will significantly contribute to the performance of your organisation. This Apprenticeship is ideal for anyone who needs to manage their own resources, provide leadership and allocate or monitor the progress and quality of work in their area of responsibility.
